Hey all,

DONT FREAK OUT! Not one of these kids plastidipping their m3s to look like a rice burner. Not saying all have done a bad job just not for me. I have heard that plastidipping your car rims (clear) protects them from scratches and chips....anybody try this? Also my 750li is monaco blue and im thinking about getting some new wheels for it. Want to decide whether or not to go all black with the bmw logo still in the center. I just dont know what it would look like black with this color. Anyone got any pictures? Does BMW make a black rim for the 750li?

@keepittrill I have! Many of them look very clean, yet you always see a rotten apple here and there with any type of car. When you have a 97' M3 which is one of my favorite years, with a honda civic (large) spoiler/fin. With an orange and white plasti-dip job that looks like crap and peeling just isnt my style. To each their own in my opinion. I have seen some pretty sweet plast dip graphics put on M3s by professionals and it looks really good.

@DarthBeemer-awesome thanks for the input! That clear bra sounds like a must do for me! I'll have to look into doing that!

@Wallace754- Thanks for the input! Since i have done research i think i might as well try it out on my own to see if i like the general look of it and not have to pay somone else to do something i dont want in the end only due to the fact that i can remove it easily myself.

I have a deep blue 7 and my buddy suggested that i do a chrome delete using black plasti dip. Anyone seen that done? Is it tough? Just dont know if that would look good is all but luckily if i tried it i can peel it right off.

Thanks for the response guys!

I have been thinking about Plasti dipping my 5 series, i have the confront package, and was wandering if i Plasti my car if i would lose the comfort access on my door? if anyone knows please let me know. I want to plasti dip mine orange.

You wouldn't lose your comfort access. Even if you dipped the door jams you wouldn't have an issue. It's not sticky or for any reason make the comfort access freak out. And by some crazy chance it does just peal it off. Koi orange would look sick. Thought about it for my 7 but I think I'm just gonna go with matte white.

ha, good to know. i know this is off topic, of the PD tread but after i PD my 5 series, i wanted to swap out my seats, i have Beige leather now in great condition i would like gray/stone or black. just a darker color what or where would be my best option for getting the color seats i want. Sorry I am new to the BMW forums.
