Issue W/ hard acceleration

Guys,

I had my eccentric shaft sensor replaced last year (dealer found out oil leaked into this sensor while doing the VANOS recall). Recently in August I got my valve cover gasket replaced. Right after that, I started noticing occasional issues in acceleration. Like when I am going from 2500 - 4000 RPM, accelerating hard, acceleration is not smooth. Feels like someone just put brake for a microsecond and left while accelerating. If I am just driving at a constant speed no issues. And this doesn't happen all the time. I am not sure if the dealer screwed up something while replacing the Valve Cover Gasket. Please help!!!! I need my BMW to operate as it used to.
My car is at 68K miles by the way: 2010 BMW 328i w/ M Sport PKG. Took proper care and maintenance.

Gee, when I had my eccentric shaft sensor fail two months ago, I inquired to the dealer about the valve cover gasket. I was told that they automatically replace the VCG when the valve cover comes off, "It's the only way to do it properly!" was the response

Well said! Please help me out here. When the dealer replaced Eccentric Shaft Sensor, I see they had also replaced "B1SA profile gasket" probably VCG?. Now, less than a year later, they said it looks like VCG need to be replaced. I looked into the Bill of Materials, they had replaced B1SA profile gasket, and 2x B1SA gasket. I know the dealer provides one or two year warranty on their work. Just wondering if I was eligible for a warranty work to replace VCG ? I already paid the money couple months back, but I might go back fight them if they had screwed me over.

Well sure I will ask em' about that. What I am looking for is BMW official work instructions for VANOS recall /or eccentric shaft sensor replacement which I can take it to dealer and hold them for it.
Also, can you share me, in general do the dealers warrant their work on labor or parts?

My 2011 328i SULEV was not subject to a VANOS recall; in 2014 I did receive a letter from BMW NA about my car being subject to a warranty extension for work which might be needed for the "intake and exhaust camshaft (VANOS) Adjustment Units".

My eccentric shaft sensor caused a code on 7/2015 at 44k, so my dealer replaced these components under warranty, as listed on the repair invoice:

  • 11-12-7-582-245 profile gasket 39
  • 11-12-7-559-699 gasket 42
  • 11-12-7-575-422 sleeve 166
  • 11-37-7-524-879 eccentric sha 6
