I noticed a few months ago that my 2007 BMW 530i Sport was starting to generate a lot of road noise. I figured it was the tires, so I bought brand new Continental DWS's and had the car aligned at the dealership, but the road noise has not gone away with the new tires. Another Bimmerfest member suggested that my wheel bearings might be going bad.
If the bearings are going bad, are they relatively easy to inspect to visually? About what will it cost to have them replaced?
Are there any other thought as to what may be causing the road noise?
