If it's legit this is the page for E90s:

http://www.ivini-apps.com/series-1-3-codings.html

Can anyone summarize? Is this brand new and in a testing phase? I already have the K-CAN -> USB cable but am kind interested, especially if it does not cost must and coding is easier.

With a coding cable all you may need is usb to mini usb adaptor.

With a coding cable all you may need is usb to mini usb adaptor.
And to download the app to your phone . It looks like
it only gives you codes and not direct diagnosis in English like
DIS57 or ISTAP. As far as the programming goes using the coding
setup I can make backup files first to get back to where I was
if it screws up. Still not having to lug your PC to the car would be cool.

BMWhat Coding doesn't allow me to code much. My build date is a 3/2007 so it should allow that. I have chatted with the developer, nice guy but for some things I wanted (KOMBI) like changing the speed to be accurate and display the speed in digital not just D it isn't possible (I am guessing at this time).
Mine works fine reading the codes using wifi and I am guessing it will reset some too (I had other sw that did that before I bought this).
Not very extensive review on my part since my main purpose was to do what I said above to KOMBI since it is advertised that it will but in actually will not (nothing in the literature said it would not work by the way).
Maybe newer models will allow this but a 3/2007 date is mainline for coding our 3's...

I have contacted him to, like you said nice guy! But my e90 is from 2005, so I cannot code it with wifi on iPhone. I can however code it With an android...

To bad it costs so much. If it would code 2005 models this was an instant buy!

As ctuna wrote I now use the Android version to code my E90 2004 with the recommended cable on USB-OTG and it works perfectly - even the speedometer adjustment is OK now

I also like the engine parameter function that was added recently.

@ctuna it gives you all the codes + the direct text in English :), basically identical to the original BMW tools

Guys not to hijack this thread but in response to users (including myself), I've been taking to Parvis and Arian at iVini App on improving the quality of documentation, explain things better to make it easier.

Parvis requested me to start a new thread where users can post their feedback and comments, they will reply to them and also use the feedback to improve the docs, create a FAQ's page and a manual.

I've posted the original email from Parvis and started the thread here, so PLEASE go ahead and post your questions/feedback here and lets make BMWhat app better and easier.

Share this with other BMWhat app enthusiasts so we can get iVini to improve this.

I can attest it does work well and The group in Germany is very responsive. They are still working on some other codings such as videos playing while driving, trunk open by fob(not just unlock) and some other one, which I can't remember but requested a while ago. They say it takes months to add new codes but there are a good selection of them now and it is so easy.
