Hi All,

Have this error on my E39 Tourer, cannot find out what is. Anyone know the story behind this error.
Recently got caught in a flood and had to change the air flow meter and get all the water out.
Any help much appreciated.

01 is the error codes showing. Using a launch diagnostic tool. Which gives a 01 code and the delivery-controller control deviation error. Engine was recently flooded. When it starts in the morning lots of smoke billows out. Replaced the air flow meter but still the same problem. Its fine when its gets warmed up. Unfortunately by that time none of the neighbours can see out their windows!

Flooded as in fuel, or flooded as in water? What color is the smoke?

If the engine was flooded by water, it may have suffered internal damage. Has the compression been measured?

"Everything else on the car has been fixed and is working right." What all was done to it?

P-codes are in the form of P-xxxx, a 4-digit code. You may be able to get a readout at an auto parts store.

My only guess, for this code description, is fuel injection control, which could be a wiring problem, or the engine control computer was damaged.
