Yes it will. I saw a 2005 545i that fooled the crap out of me at Bimmerfest last
year. As you approached it from the back it looked like a 2008 550i with the M
sport pack even with the style 172 rims and was debadged. It's only when you saw
the door handles inside and window switches was when you realized it was a pre-LCI.
He told me afterwards too, and he even got the LCI lights front and rear. It was nice.

So, basically exterior wise you can easily make a pre-LCI look like an LCI.

 

was there any modifications that would be needed??
I am helping a friend get his moms e60 back to nice and I can only find LCI front bumper skins
she has some scratches and small dents, so we want to replace it completely

That's not a popular upgrade, but it's possible. Different fog lights, lower
grill inserts, side reflectors. The back bumper is the same. side skirts are
the same. Usually people just upgrade to the M body kit and call it good.
To go with the regular body kit of the LCI E60 is fine with no modifications
needed, but there are trim pieces involved.
