Is new 325i too small for me?

Hi, all,

I was hoping to get opinions on the roominess of the new 325i. I haven't had a chance to drive one yet, but before I do, can someone tell me if this car would be roomy and comfortable enough for someone who is 6'3" with broad shoulders? Or will I look funny sitting in the car?

Thanks

Haha... No, really, I say that because the very first time I saw the car in real life, it was so akward getting in, I thought, oh no, I want this car but I can't fit in it! You really can't tell if it's lowered or raised unless you're experienced with it. And how do you get experienced with it unless you sit in it? So make sure you lower the seat before you get in.

If you are six feet or taller, try getting in an e90 with the seat raised all the way up, and share your experience with the rest of us.

I am the same height as you are. I have no problems getting comfortable with the sport seats at least.

Comfort is a subjective thing.

On the E90post board there is a member who is 6'5" who is comfortable in the 325 but not the 330 due to the powerseat in the latter. This raised his head up to bump into the sunroof whereas the manual seat could be adjusted lower and he fit just fine.

If you fit it may be a problem for the rear seat passenger behind you. Good test: sit in the driver seat and adjust it to your liking. Get out and try and climb into the back seat or have a person the size of your likely rear seat passengers sit in it.

My Husband and I just finished a 3000 mile drive in our new 325I...He is 6'6" and had no issues. I did get the sport package though which means narrower seats, but he had headroom to spare. We also did not get power seats, because we thought we might have to sacrifice headroom. The seats/steering wheel are so adjustable. Can't imagine what problem you would have. Hope this helps.

I am 6'2" and really long waisted. My wife is 5'9" and we think there is plenty of room. With the seat all the way down, I have about 3 inches of room above my head and my shoulders have plenty of room. I have the sport seats and they have adjustable bolster width.

With the seat adjusted all the way up to the highest positiion, headroom gets a little tighter, but I can still actually fit OK.

But as always, it is not a bad idea to go and sit in one just to make sure!

thanks for all the feedback. I feel a little better hearing from the bigger guys that it isnt too bad of a fit. Maybe it was just when I was looking at one once its low stance gave me the impression it would be too small.

I'll be looking at one in a few days. See how it goes. thanks again.
