hey everybody,
my question is my 1987 325ci when i put gas in the car.
say 15.00 dollar which is about 5 gallons .this when the needle
is on the red at the r and the light is on it. after putting fuel in it goes
up to 1/2 tank i know the tank capitcay is 15gal ,full i dont know if the gauge is going bad or
what.last week i ran gauge down til light came on. i then put 20 dollars in drove it 4 days
no faster than 65mph i mostly drive interstate to work about 28 one way . i like to baby the gas pedal using the mpg gauge on speedometer for the best mpg possible car is a 2.5 with 5 speed.gas here in alabama is about 2.87 gal so does any one thinkthe gauge is right or what
