Anyone know which fuse is for the heated steering wheel ? F30 2013 335 xdrive

Long version
The heated steering wheel worked a few days ago on Sunday. On Monday I was using the car and noticed that the heated steering wheel was not heating up. No light on the button no matter how many times I pushed it…. When I shut the car off, I got a warning that the battery was low and to charge it, also that the car would shut down unnecessary features to save battery. Don’t remember exact words on display, but that was the general message. Once I got home, noticed that the interior lights were no longer coming on, neither were the exterior door lights and the comfort access would no longer work, I had to use the FOB to lock the doors. The heated seats still would turn on though, weird.

Luckily the dealer installs a BMW battery tender as part of the PDI, as it gets fairly cold around here in winter (-40C or colder for a few weeks in Jan/Feb and -20C to -35C (-4F to -22F) for the remainder of winter) and a fully charged battery helps, especially since there is no block heater. So I plug in the battery tender Monday night.

Since I also live 5.5 hours from the closest BMW dealership, I figure I can at least eliminate the easy stuff, and start looking for the fuse on Tuesday night. Find the two fuse blocks and the little card that has pictures on it referencing the fuses. I guess they use pictures so they don’t have to have 20 different language versions. There is no specific heated steering wheel fuse picture. However there are 2 fuses for the steering wheel picture. One is a 5A and one is a 20A, if I recall correctly. Not sure if that is for the steering wheel heater or just the controls or what. Pull both and check are both are good. Then find the heated seats picture and the 6-8 (can’t remember) fuses for them. Figure maybe the heated steering wheel is on that circuit. Pull them all, all are good. Run my fingers along all fuses on both block to make sure none have popped out. Find a couple that can be pushed down a little, but don’t think it was an issue.

I had plugged in the battery tender the night before (Monday), so it had been charging for about 24 hours at this point that I had finished checking the fuses. I notice that the red battery tender charging light is out, and the green storage light in now on. OK, the battery is fully charged again. So I go start the car, push the heated steering button, and it illuminates. Problem is, was it one of the fuses I pulled and re-inserted what fixed it, or was the battery being fully charged what fixed it. Have not driven it since last night when I fixed it, so not sure if the issue is completed resolved or not. I took my truck to work today and left the car for the wife. Will have to experiment with turning on the seat heaters and wheel heater to make sure everything works.

Thus it would be nice to know exactly which fuse is for the heated steering wheel. Also, anyone else ever experience this and what was the fix?

And yes, if it continues, I will take it to the dealership to look at next time we are going to be near the dealer.
