I've been having trouble finding a misfire. I night some coil from the junk yard off another 7 series. And installing them I tried to start the car 2x with no success. Then the battery died..so 2 questions; can a bad battery cause a misfire somehow? Could a misfire cause a bad cell in the battery?

Proper way to check a bad coil is swap the coil with another cylinder that isn't showing a code. If the code changes to that cylinder you know it's the coil.

You may need to reset the codes with Inpa if your ecu has turned off that cylinder. A basic code reader won't clear that.

Since you have introduced an entire new problem of a bunch of coils that might be junk you will have fun sorting this.

I have had a bad cam sensor but having two bad sensors is pretty unlikely. I'd just swap them from the other side and see if the code follows. Not fun I know but knowledge is power with elimination.
