Hi guys, new here so hoping for a little help, just picked up the car and under acceleration the car shudders, cruise at any speed and its fine. Motor is running great, have read it could be tyre sizes confusing the xdrive system? Fitted on the car are F: 275x40x20 and R: 315x35x20
Could this be the cause or should I be looking elsewhere?

Thanks guys, did some sums and think it comes out at 31.4mm dif per revolution. But if not the wheels and tyres any other pointers to what could cause the judder on acceleration?

Thanks Gary, it does have the msport package, and it only does it under acceleration. Cruise at any speed and its really smooth. Cruising at say 65mph, it's great, then accelerate and it feels like the prop shaft is going to launch itself through the cabin!

Pretty much. Cruise at any speed it's perfect, getting to the speed, even from stand still it does it. Then when cruising at decent speeds it's fine again, until you want to overtake, then you feel like your in a trabant! 🤣

No codes thrown up on mine either so hoping it's just a mechanical issue other than the tf box. May have a nose at the prop shaft first and hope to god I find something of a cheap fix, otherwise will have to bite the bullet I guess. Here's hoping eh! Thanks for replying 👍

Hi guys, quick heads up, changed the transfer box oil and the dif oil, at first it didn't do a thing so was recommended to drive it for a good few miles, did around 100 miles and the shudder has totally gone. Used bmw dealer oil at just over £100 but worked out well. 👌
